Im Jahr 1917 zog die C. Lorenz AG erstmals nach Tempelhof. Angetrieben von zahlreichen Innovationen in der Funk- und Telegraphentechnik brauchte das Unternehmen dringend Raum für Wachstum. Die Wahl fiel auf das strategisch günstig am Teltowkanal gelegene Gelände der Colditzstraße 34-36. Hier schrieb man die Erfolgsgeschichte weiter, der amerikanische Weltmarktführer ITT stieg ein, die Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG entstand und man fusionierte mit dem Weltkonzern Alcatel. Die Entwicklung im Bereich der Telekommunikation hat in der Colditzstraße über einen Zeitraum von circa hundert Jahren Geschichte geschrieben. In 1917, C. Lorenz AG moved to Tempelhof for the first time. Driven by numerous innovations in radio and telegraph technology, the company urgently needed space for growth. The choice fell on the strategically located site at Colditzstraße 34-36 on the Teltow Canal. The success story continued here, the American world market leader ITT joined the company, Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG was founded and the company merged with the global corporation Alcatel. Developments in the telecommunications sector have made history in Colditzstrasse over a period of around one hundred years. Lage:

Das Funkwerk Berlin liegt in direkter Nachbarschaft zum neuen Tempelhofer Hafen, der mit attraktiven Shopping-, Gastronomie- und Event- Angeboten lockt. Gleichzeitig etabliert sich Tempelhof und besonders die Gegend rund um den Hafen mehr und mehr als zentraler, begehrter Industrie- und Dienstleistungsstandort.
